- Arrival
- Use Gate 02 at T-works, to enter the campus.
- Go to the event registration desk/ recption in the T-Works building and mention your call sign, say you’re a Pilot for the drone race and collect your pass.
- Please fill the google sheet with some details for the race.
- Practice
- Practice will start at 11 pm on 16th Dec 2023.
- PIlots will be divided into groups of three pilots.
- Three pilots will be flying and next three pilots will act as pit crew to swap out batteries.
- **Every group (of 3 pilots) will be alloted 30 batteries(10 per pilot) for practice and around 45 minutes for practice. **
- First group will finish all their batteries and then will act as pit crew for the next group.
- The practice/seesing sesssion will be timed using a LAP TIMER and you can set a best 3 lap time, which will be used for seeding. Pilots who are in Hyderabad are advised to make use of this opportunity. We will be able to give you only 20 minute slots on Sunday.
- Turtle mode is allowed and recommended. So, we recommend you brush up on how to use turtle mode.
- We will have volunteers at key points along the track where crashes are more likely to happen, but we recommend you use turtle mode to recover after a crash.
- Velocidrone track is available for practice. in the Track manager on velocidrone search for author “pink” and you should see the “T-Works Makerfaire HYd 2023” track. Please download and familiarize yourself with the track. Also, set a time on the leaderboard.
- Race format
- Top 12 pilots seeded from the Practice/Qualifying rounds will advance to Semi Finals. 3 consecutive lap time will be considered for the seeding rounds on Saturday and Sunday.
- 3 Semi Final Rounds will take place on sunday from 2:30 PM onwards.
- Top 3 PIlots from Semis will advance to Finals. FInals will be a Chase the Ace format.
- Quad specs
- 1s quads with batteries will be provided. We have tested these quads on the track and confident they perform well for racing. 1102 22000kv, F4 5A ,ELRS uart based Rx, M02 vtx and camera.
- It is mandatory that you have an ELRS radio for the whoop race with the following channel mapping (AETR) you can create a new model and assign the following mapping.
